  • A pleasant walk in the Park. Can be reached by car, almost immediately after Rocca di Papa follow signs Monte Cavo. The Monte Cavo 950 meters high is a volcanic cone is visible from all the other peaks of the Alban hills and from the capital. You climb down the mountain at one point there is a gate on the left and parking along the roadside you start walking path on this holy mountain already at Lazio and then by the Romans-Roman who came to worship the goddess of the hunt Diana, before reaching the base of the mountain, from which began a basalt-paved road , known as the via sacra or via trionfale, which with a distance of 6 km, excellently preserved so far, came to the temple. From the top there is one of the most beautiful landscapes in that all its sides are covered by forests of beech, chestnut and oak. From the top the view ranges normally to the South and West of Lake Nemi and below Lake Albano, in the West the Tyrrhenian Sea, to the East and South the other peaks of the hills to the Northwest, the Monti Tiburtini, the capital to the North. In cases of large atmospheric information views over North on Mount Soracte, the Monti Sabatini and the Cimini mountains, South to the Pontine marshes and the Pontine Islands. You can reach the roof terrace also arrivandondoci drive, for those who are not making nice climb. Not to be missed.

  • The sacred way is one of the most beautiful streets in this area already nice to her, for its history, for the scenery, the peace and serenity that you feel walking around here. Recommend a visit at stopovers.
