  • As the name suggests this church was built upon the hovels in which St. Francis and his followers lived. A very interesting visit. The church is well looked after bythe Franciscan Friars.  more »
  • The sanctuary of Rivotorto contains within it the "Sacro Tugurio". By many and rightly so in my opinion, is considered the cradle of the Franciscan rule. It is the humble chapel that Saint Francis around 1207 chose it as the most humble abode for himself and his first companions in this adventure of faith "that would become then a amazing and exceptional rule of life for the world, cradle of peace and faith for the whole world! Place of great spirituality and emotions unmatched in visiting this small building. This place has become in 2000, I seem to remember, a world heritage site. To visit, together with the Basilica of s. Damiano, not far up the Hill, where Santa Chiara.

  • Sanctuary near Assisi, but away from the noise and crowds. The place where Saint Francis lived with the cells where he slept. Meditation, prayer, interiority to discover a little-known place.
