  • To the South and especially in Basilicata we have so much to offer and nothing to envy in Umbria and Tuscany ... awesome place where spend a day relaxing. Several small restaurants, train to walk of 10 min between lakes, walk of 20 min by boat on small lake with possibility to rent Paddle boats. All at less than 80 euro for 4 people eating in tourist menu from 15 € per person. To visit Saint Michael Abbey ... deserves!

  • It's always nice to go to the Lakes of Monticchio, for a simple walk or to spend a few relaxing hours and cook good meat in the spaces provided and riding around the Lake on foot or in tandem. You can also cross the Lake with Paddle boats, a really fun experience to enjoy a beautiful view from an unusual perspective. The Administration should treat more the place that in some areas it seems abandoned. If enhanced better would be a tourist attraction.

  • Monticchio is a village belonging to the municipalities of Acerenza and Atella, in the province of Potenza. Situated on the slopes of Mount Vulture, one of the most ancient volcanoes of the southern Apennines, preserves a colorful environmental heritage, which makes Monticchio a destination for visitors especially during the summer. From 1971 was established the regional reserve Lago piccolo di Monticchio, representing the natural habitat of a rare endemic species of moth, the Brahmaea.
