  • I visited the wineries of the Notary with the delegation A.i.s of Foggia and it was an unforgettable experience. The passion of the family Giuratrabocchetti that handles this Winery since its inception in 1998 is noticeable in their every word or gesture. Mr. Gerardo, who inherited the vines from the grandfather giving them the right reputation that today deserve, there has in fact told not only the history of the winery but of the entire area narrating of events related to the passage of the monks but also banditry in Basilicata. The wineries in the area are rather special because they grow in small underground caves linked together by narrow passages and characterized by the formation of algae on the walls testifying to the presence of a proper level of humidity. Within one of these Mr. Gerardo did make an enchanting animated nativity scene rich with symbolic figures and metaphorical meaning there was expertly explained during the visit. After viewing the Aglianico del Vulture barrels on their long evolutionary path to rest, we were accommodated in a smaller room for the tasting of their products of which there are illustrated the salient features and their quality is not discussed.

  • We came to get us some wine as a gift, so we enjoyed the location and exposure, the reasonable prices for the quality of the wine!

  • The cellar while not large groups through a series of steps 5 master cellars dug into the rock that makes it particularly beautiful to look at. Charming and very nice the moving crib made by a local crib artists have to Rag on a corner of the cave. Good driving. I randomly had the pleasure of knowing the notary, a Spry young octogenarian who delighted us with some stories about history, not fictionalized, of banditry in Basilicata.

  • The wine is superb. Full of culture, history and love for their land. But are the wineries and the staff a surprise. It's a detour that needs to be done. Interesting and very enjoyable. Allows you to have a real point of view on the territory and its history
