  • The fountain was erected originally in Roman times, making the source of water from a well at about 900 m, which conducted was initially built in stone but was later replaced with one made of cast iron. As in many other cities, this fountain was the only city source of drinking water; It served this function until 1912, when it was inaugurated the public aqueduct. Over the centuries, the fountain underwent several restorations and transformations. most famous is the one left by Leonardo da Vinci during his visit to Rimini: on a panel of the fountain is inscribed with the phrase he uttered, impressed by the harmony of fontanelle, "Fassi a harmony with the different water falls, as you saw at the source of Rimini, as you saw on 8 August 1502".

  • This unusual fountain is located in the Centre of Rimini. Exploring the attractions will take 10 minutes. Fountain in the form of a large bronze bumps about 4 meters! Bronze peacocks on both sides of the fountain are copies, decorating the tombs of Emperor Hadrian.
