  • Very much enjoyed our visit. Focussed on local history, it also has noted art works by regional painters as well as a pieta by Bellini. For an additional modest fee (I remember 1 Euro), you can visit ...  more »

  • Ok
  • Very interesting exhibition about ancient roman city of Ariminium (today's Rimini)
  • Ok
  • Very good museum. It made with great love to the city.
  • Despite being a Municipal Museum, in nearly 40 years of its history, the decision to make it autonomous from other communal institutions and give him a home wide and functional has become a path that describes not only the main story of Rimini, but presents some masterpieces which, although linked to the city, go beyond the local dimension. The route starts from the basement and from prehistory to arrive, through the Roman period, also on the ground floor, to be completed with the lapidary garden with the most important Roman inscriptions; continues with medieval, Renaissance and early modern period to the plan, up to the most recent results of the samples local art on the second floor, with different special sections and insights, dictated also by the plan of the Palace, ben's oldest Museum. The lamentation of Bellini, Saint Jerome by Guercino, some boards and local painters ' workshop of Giotto's frescoes in the first half of the 14th century, the so called ' 300 Rimini, the big Board of Ghirlandaio for Maltesta together with reconstruction and to objects of the surgeon's House, to large mosaics of high Imperial and late ancient age, are major emergencies respectively, Rhyme and Ariminum, Rimini history phases before the 20th century. As is probably right, the most recent period, characterized in particular by mass tourism, you have yet to produce Museum memories, or at least hope so as not to feel already "passed": in the past, to admire, study and maybe look for inspiration, the Museum of the city of Rimini is certainly an opportunity to exploit.
