  • Honestly I am really shocked when I read the bad reviews. One in particular that defines Rieti underground as the "basements". I understand most of the problems of this country. A folly. You don't even need to say it, of course the setting is magical and suggestive, steeped in history and memories. Go!

  • A visit well Wizard that explains the history of the last centuries of the city sedicii exhaustively. The places are yet to be restored fully and the path stops for lack of continuity, forcing visitors to rise to the surface and then face a second tranche. By not visiting in the cold months, because the temperature underground is unforgiving. Acceptable price.

  • The Guide well prepared and highly motivated has brought us together next to the Roman bridge on the left bank of the river Velino. We were a group of about 20 people including many pensioners but also families with children. The route starts from a narrow street that runs along the river where we discovered the slits on the doors of houses where axes were fitted during the frequent flooding caused by flooding of the velino River before the construction of the dam of the fascist Turano. Continue along via del porto, once navigable canal, and you enter a large doorway that leads into the underground of the building from where the underground tour. You pass through several sites with ancient cellars and historical artifacts of daily life of old reatini but also of modern artwork that produce sounds on manual activation. It comes in via Roma where by a lattice you see the feet of passers-by. The rest is only to be seen and not to be described for not taking anything to surprise. Book your visit and you won't regret.
