  • I ride this bike path regularly during the summer and fall months. I live in Greccio, which is close by. The path is a 22 km loop and very flat and easy, passing through farmland and wooded areas, str...  more »
  • Is panoramic, surrounded by nature, out of the smog and well taken care of, well adjusted the traits of crossing urban road. It will probably be extended further, but already that is beautiful. Also for children and beginners.

  • In the plain of Rieti-a plain Northwest of downtown Los Angeles, surrounded by mountains and characterized by a very low population density-has been built recently a pedestrian route more or less circular. Starting from Rieti and moving toward the North is almost immediately the path, that initially is accurately reported and apparently has a medium-high attendance of cyclists and walkers. As you move away from the capital and the countryside visiting rarefy (many like to walk or cycle for short distances, but far less if they hear leg banding kilometers), and after passing the Church of Santa Barbara in the path becomes almost deserted and isolated in the Woods. More or less in the northernmost point of the ring is a park with benches and tables, a fountain and litter boxes, actually, all rather neglected. After a bridge over the river Velino disappears also the site dedicated to cyclists and walkers and proceed on a path paved with mixed use, taking care to motor vehicles and going a little groping for the total lack of records and the difficulty of identify inhabited as reference points. It is not difficult to reach the station of Contigliano, where they spend and generally stop the trains of Terni-Rieti-L'Aquila; further the path follows more or less the same railroad, passing the station (least important) of Poggio Fidoni, but in general it is not very easy to understand. You can arrive, however, where it branches off the roadway for Santuario di Fonte Colombo, and reenter in Rieti from the suburbs to the South. A good initiative, to be recommended to those who want to spend a day of bike greenery and serenity in one of the most secluded of Lazio, but ideally, the entire route was properly reported and especially banned wheeled vehicles even in the more "depressed" Western section.
