Bergbaumuseum Ridnaun - Schneeberg Reviews
Alcuni anni fa avevo fatto la visita guidata breve, che comprende solo la visita agli impianti di Masseria. Quest'anno abbiamo deciso di fare la visita guidata lunga, di dieci ore, che ti porta sulla ... more »Some years ago I did the tour short, which only includes the visit to the farm. This year we decided to make the 10-hour long guided tour that takes you up the mountain, to the mining village of s. Mertino in Schneeberg, and then inside of it. After approaching in buses, and a quick breakfast to a farmhouse, the morning includes a climb of 700 meters in altitude (up to Forcella Schneeberg) and then the descent to the village of San Martino. On this journey the guides stop sometimes to give various explanations. After lunch we start again and, after having descended yet another hour, we enter the mine Gallery (helmet, boots and waterproof provided by the Organization), which is about two meters high at the beginning and a large 1.5-2, with a lot of water flowing on the ground. At the end the tunnel narrows and at some points (thankfully short) 1.20 m high and 80 cm wide becomes (do not bring backpacks). After things to deal with a nearly vertical scale that makes us get off of other 60 m and eventually you will come to a great gallery where a small train takes us back out, where you expect the buses. Three condiderazioni: 1) the tour is beautiful, unique and the staff is friendly and competent. That's the main thing. 2) However, it is not a hike "tourist" in the usual sense of the term: the difference is high with steep slopes, the trails in some places are a bit exposed (although well placed) and the final scale into the mine is awesome (for heaven's sake use the harness and the safety catch, which according to them is compulsory only for children!!!) 3) we did with a 10 and a half years and a girl of 14 , both well trained and accustomed to mountain: don't do it with children who are not used to long tours! Equally it is not recommended to those who suffer from Vertigo, claustrophobia or otherwise not accustomed to walking in the mountains.
Ottimo diversivo per passare un paio d'ore con i bimbi!! Visita guidata della miniera, dove sia grandi che piccoli sono muniti di caschetto e impermeabile... Molto interessante!! more »Very good diversion to spend a few hours with the kids!! Guided tour of the mine, where both large and small are equipped with helmet and raincoat ... Very interesting!!
Dieses Bergwerk ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Besonders auch für Familien mit Kindern. Die rd 2 stündige Führung ist so gestaltet, dass es auch den Kindern nicht langweilig wird, werden immer ... more »This mine is worth a visit in any case. Especially suitable for families with children. The rd 2 hour guided tour is designed so that it will not be bored children, be involved again with. Not driving while "in real" underground, but reconstructed tunnel, but the feeling goes in a ca 500 m long is the same in my opinion. At individual stations work in the mine are shown in the gallery and also the technical development in the several hundred years mining at Mount Snow. The Guide costs € 10 and is approximately two hours. The price performance ratio is top, I think. A special thanks goes to Helga that the two hours has led us through the mine and ore processing halls. It was super interesting and entertaining through its kind of funny really.
Really enjoyed the visit; the guide was funny. They did not gave us a gem like they did years ago
The ore body of Ridanna-Monteneve, attested since 1237 as Sneberch (today Schneeberg) and around 1500 Fuggers of Augsburg property with over 1000 miners, is one of the highest in Europe (between 2,000 and 2,500 m a.s.l.) and that longer productive in the Alps (silver was mined since the end of the 12th century). The numerous mine plants outside and inside the mountain, which rises between the Val Ridanna and Passiria, are almost all intact. The underground mine teaching Farm gives an idea of the hard life of the miners, with the ability to make a trip underground in disused galleries. Remained active up to the present day drew for more than 600 years, silver, zinc, lead, using the river water highly polluted today. We recommend a visit to all for industrial history. The minieta is still intact and functional. If you want to sightsee the top you have to book in advance.
More beautiful Museum (like everyone in Trentino for that matter) partly open and partly "underground" (as easily predictable). Great for kids but watch your path: there are really challenging.
Nice visit that made me reflect on the luck had to be born in my time and then not. Still very inspiring!
