Difficult to separate art and faith in such a masterpiece of Baroque emiliano, you can see a portrait of the patrons of Reggio by Guercino. Look upward, frescoes, columns, a beautiful chandelier, the eye is lost towards the whole. guerful

From 1597 to 1619 could the mighty cruciform Basilica della Beata Vergine della Chiara built by donations of the population: the highly harmonious interior were equipped century began in the 17th with gilded stucco work, colorful frescoes, marble sculptures and paintings by local masters. Always the Blessed Virgin Mary is at the heart, which is why the Church is called by the Reggianern "Church of women". An absolute eye candy! Small Tip: On Sundays and public holidays only in the afternoon opened.
