  • During our visit to the Aragonese castle at the end of December 2016 we were fortunate to be led by women in various societies that animated the visit of the various areas telling us the story (so detailed and exhaustive) and use of the rooms (the Armory to the torture chamber). I hope that the presence of these children is repeated several times throughout the year.

  • Finally a majestic work returned to the city. The Castle stands in the center of the city, offering visitors a breathtaking view. Unfortunately the previous papers have downsized considerably the size of the Castle, but the restoration now makes it possible to enter and visit the inside and the two towers. Were used as conference rooms or exhibitions, which are to make the best possible. Fortunately, during my visit, it kept the set up of the Sala d'arme and the torture Room, as well as a demonstration of medieval combat, all thanks to the Association "Militia Fretensis", whom I thank very much for the detailed explanations of the medieval period and representations of the period. The only sore point: the preparation of guides. I believe they were voluntary, so I can only thank them but for a common good and people should be paid with a cultural preparation and proper language not using only an expression of the site, not understandable by tourists (which, fortunately, it houses more than local residents). The Council also updates the program and hours on the internet. Congratulations! Highly recommended!

  • The aragonese Castle in Reggio Calabria, together with bronze statues, is one of the main historical landmarks of the city of Reggio's main fortification of the city. Has very ancient origins, and today is considered an important historical and cultural landmark, not only of Reggio. It is home of the Observatory of the National Institute of geophysics. To visit.

  • Spectacular ancient castle to visit In Reggio Calabria! Nice view of the city
  • The entrance is free of charge, but the castle is totally empty! Literally nothing inside. You can only enjoy the beautiful view from the castle rough. That's it.
  • Piazza bellissima
  • free admission. inside it's stripped down but if you climb on the top floor has a beautiful view. He says the Lady at the entrance and at night it's even more beautiful the view but it was closed at night open only certain authorized. still worth it to come definitely.
