Casa Leopardi, Recanati
(4.2/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
The vineyards of Casa Leopardi blanket the Recanati slopes that face the sea. You can tour the winery amidst the vines to see the fermenting process and cellars. First, though, your erudite guide will introduce you to the Leopardi history. The family has been cultivating wines since 1100, mainly for personal consumption. Family documents, however, show that the Leopardi palace cellars stored local varieties rather similar to today's. Take a look at our Recanati vacation builder to schedule your visit to Casa Leopardi and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Beautiful solitary walk, pleasant Hill of infinity, and beautiful the Palace. Being a worshipper of poetry I admire these places, where everything is culture and Antiquities.

  • I love poetry and Poets have a great fascination for me. Giacomo Leopardi is with me, in the memory of many of his verses, since middle school I had to study by heart some of his most famous poems. I hadn't been to Recanati and the visiting today where the great recanatese is born, the library where he grew up, the many books he devoured "with studio crazy and desperate" touched me again the deepest chords of soul and heart. Those rooms, those tables, those cards not only speak of James but convey beauty and harmony. For those who love poetry is a goal that at least once in their life is reached. And you will be deeply satisfied and happy forever.

  • We visited the shelf of Leopardi's House with a guided tour there about half an hour: library must see both for lovers of the writer as for those who perhaps knows him not. The tour very well carried out allows you to understand many things of man Leopards and the writer. Really highly recommended for a visit, expressed as deviziazione if you are around there.

  • Well preserved area of this quaint village, with the palatial home of Romantic poet Giacomo Leopardi, famous for his existential poems amongst which ''The Infinite''
  • Come to the Museum, you can opt for a total of 10 €, even for a guided tour of the House. Actually you can only traverse part of the building because the property is still owned by the heirs who live here. The visit is quite short but the Guide has been very prepared and valid; asked whether there were any foreign non-Italian speakers. You can't visit the private clubs, bedrooms, etc. Essentially all local studio and library, are those which you have access. Experience still amazing. The Museum is somewhat disappointing, not always seems groomed although in many ways it is designed in a modern way. However it lacks a real common thread, you get lost in the path (which is a few rooms, basically) and the neophyte misses almost nothing of the magnitude of the poet nor the spirit of the time; the passionate, instead, tries to cling to and fro to something surprising, but basically I consider it a wasted opportunity. Huge unexploited potential. That being said, must see, despite everything. Recanati is wonderful.

  • Board the guided home leopards. It entertains in the library and adjoining studio premises. Everything speaks of the poet and his family. Then she gets a jump on the ground floor in the Museum and in the cellars. Finally you can hop on the colle dell'infinito. Nice.

  • Visit absolutely recommended to the library. The guide very kind, very prepared and of rare passion for the topic. The visit of the poet's study rooms plays a 5. Small wait 15 minutes, about the tickets, but compensated by the beauty of the visit.
