  • After seeing the Palace of Theodoric, few hundred meters after here is covering before us this church built in the 16th century. Its magnificent fa├žade was changed in the second half of the 18th century, overlapping the neoclassical style to Baroque today visible at the bottom. The Interior is divided into three naves with a large transept surmounted by a high dome. On the left side you will find a marble sculpture in bas-relief, perhaps of Venetian, dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, depicting the Virgin Mary in a prayerful attitude. The image is known as the "Madonna Greca" because, according to tradition, in April of the year 1100 seven monks were seen floating on the waves of lido of Ravenna, a marble bas-relief of "Virgin praying", of Byzantine origin. Worthy of a visit.

  • A beautiful church from the outside, from via Roma. Impressive with glance with the front garden. Along the road in the direction of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo la is on the right and, as I did, you come just to have a look ... but honestly not worth it. It gets better in Ravenna
