  • We recently visited this basilica, among other things we stumbled on Sunday and the entrance was free, I recommend the audio guide very helpful to understand all the beauties.

  • With the "Opera di Religione della properties di Ravenna" ticket (€11.50), you will visit 5 major sites, including the Basilica of EV - life centuries. A simple portico of marble gives access to this rather plain Basilica of aesthetic, made of brick and flanked by a cylindrical bell tower of same materials. Inside, a little less rich than the other shrines of Ravenna, you will like it anyway because of the beautiful mosaics that are there. At the top, near the ceiling, thirteen panels tell (miracles including) significant episodes of the life of Jesus. A Panel (briefly) represents the port of class - with its walls and boats in Ravenna, at the time of César Auguste. You linger you probably before the very expressive and colorful Panel of the wise and the Madonna.

  • probably one of the richest churches for the city's mosaic decorations! If you are visiting you should not neglect to put in list this blaze of Golden mosaics.

  • If you've made it all the way to Ravenna, odds are you will be seeing this no matter what. It's nice that they have chairs set out where you can sit and view the full mosaics without having to strain your neck so much.
  • Fabulous! Some sumptuous mosaics. Wierdly the Baroque additions and frescoes rather spoil the effect.
  • Great artwork inside. Was half thinking of missing this but glad I didn't.
  • Outstanding frescoes.
  • Lots of mosaics describing Jesus and the Saints in various stages.
