  • the museum itself is small, but very informative Exposition, from the Neolithic to Roman mosaics. recommend to all interested in history and art. our family really enjoyed the Museum!

  • From an archaeological museum of province I expected more appreciation both to (completely hidden under a bridge, in the dark, in a hidden alley) that what it contains. The heritage exposed is magnificent, full of artifacts recovered to Kamarina, also reproductions of necropolis admirable, but there's too much information crammed and a little bumpy. A wing with the mosaics was in Twilight, I'm not sure it was affordable. Free admission. Lunch break and plenty of staff (in my opinion excessive).

  • Starting from the hotel at which you stayed (an old palace, under a bridge, at the ground floor there is a carwash!) and ending with the arrangement of the exhibits, there is a general sense of neglect. Too bad, because the material is not wanting to be a Museum of excellence, being very rich in artifacts not only from the districts of Ragusa, but also from Comiso and especially from Kamarina. Valuable pieces: the Warrior of Castiglione and the stele of Comiso (the oldest written record of Ragusa) but also various amphorae, vases, votive statues and bronze objects. Admission is free.
