  • Beautiful baroque Temple. Even for a layperson it was nice to sit on the stairs, or enjoy a coffee in a nearby Café looking at buildings

  • The Cathedral of San Giovanni is located in the main square of Ragusa modern or higher. It has a raised location which makes it more majestic. It has the style of the Sicilian baroque from the Valley of Noto. Around the Cathedral and the plaza there is a great commercial movement.

  • The Cathedral in an earlier, the Church was nearly destroyed as 1693 instead. The former Church of the ancient part of the city, on the Western walls of Ragusa Ibla. The Church was nearly destroyed in the 18th century. at the end of the 19th century a small church was erected in honor of St Agnes. The new Cathedral was built further up, the Patro, which later formed the new town of Ragusa Superiore. The alapkőletételre 1694. on April 15.
