  • Radicofani is one of the many jewels of the Tuscan city with a lovely atmosphere, not enjoyed bustle of tourists hit and run. Lovely views, two very interesting churches, a very well restored, a cordiality of bygone days. Last but not least, the value of farms and restaurants are very interesting ...

  • My husband like castles so I'll be forced to visit them all in my life and now I know that when a castle of façade is majestic and beautiful inside remains a big disappointment just as there was for this. Unfortunately it is just a great view and nothing else, everything is underground is practically impossible, at least for me they are an adventuress, my husband fell but remained entranced aside make up and down hard, as well as the Tower, at the end she gets on and you see the view. If you want to see the Castle I recommend you bypass it. remained only the outer structure but can also see from outside without paying the ticket.

  • Maybe the best view over Toscana, great architecture and impressive historic importance.
  • Not a lot to see up here apart from a great view around the valley.
  • The view from this place is incredible!!!!! You will be looking down at airplanes!!!! It is a rugged fortress that will have you imagining what medieval life was like. The trip up to the top of the tower is well worth the many steps you will climb. The cost to enter the grounds is 2 euro each.
  • The Radicofani fortress stands at the top of a volcanic vent (formed from one million years) on the eastern slopes of monte Amiata (latest volcano which has 300,000 years ago). Nearly a thousand meters between the straw and the val d'Orcia, controlled the transit on the via Cassia and was resting place of the via Francigena. From the tower you can enjoy a beautiful view at 360°. The fortress is related the name of Ghino di Tacco, mentioned by Dante and Boccaccio.

  • Checked off suddenly when I covered the Val d'Orcia in the car, the fortress and its donjon strikes forcefully. Powerful symbol of strength surrounded by a unique environment. The town offers a distinct angles historical beauty.
