Percorrendo le strade della Val d'Enza sulle prime pendici dell'Appennino Reggiano trovi un delizioso borgo Quattro Castella che custodisce un vero gioiello della della storia Matildica : il Castello ... more »Along the roads of Val d'enza on the lower slopes of the Appennino Reggiano is a delightful hamlet Quattro Castella which contains a gem of Matilda's history: the castle of Bianello. Surrounded by a beautiful park is perched on a hill and dominates the surrounding territory, characterized especially by large crops of hay and fodder, beautiful vineyards that will create many quality wines and especially to an exceptional lambrusco. The castle is extremely accurate in every detail, and a place where all kinds of cultural events worthy of great attention. A magical place to feel the presence of Matilde as in few other places.
On the Hill of Bianello perhaps already from the first half of the 10th century there was a watchtower odo some form of defensive provision but certain news of its existence the possess only starting from the year 1044. Its history is tied closely to the events of the castle of Canossa, however, and especially the events that took the Countess Matilda of Canossa who at the Castle housed the emperors Henry IV and Henry V.
Nice place, beautiful castle and beautiful tour made inside. We say that is not a typical medieval castle battle but more from Royal Palace so don't expect towers and ramparts, however still maintains its charm. You reach it by foot (not too strenuous) unless you go to a restaurant (which allows access to a parking lot a little higher). Council to visit it during the medieval festivals because you will find people in suits and riders everywhere in addition to a beautiful medieval village to act as Trailblazers at the Castle and across the country. Recommended for babies having beautiful assets and fighting.
Hi the place and the castle is enchanting. During the school trip and guided by historical figures we have come of the trails are not eligible children of 5 years. In one of these 2 kids were chosen including my daughter with the Guide and the other kid had to go to a cave ... but the sentierinooo without security and near a cliff, my daughter has flown down tumbling all the time until she managed to stop. Luckily nothing serious just abrasions and bruises and bone pain ... Fortunately a dad in the group went to retrieve it saw impervido the soil because the Guide couldn't trace with the child ... didn't get anyone with no emergency services ... was taken very superficially the fall ...
The area around the castle is quite impressive. Recently the activities of the Castle are much increased, exhibits and tours are available and organised entertainment.
Under the magical castle of Matilda a great waiter service, dishes for every taste with elegant simplicity. Very pleasant.
