  • The Tower of Coltellazzo, now uninhabited serves currently as a lighthouse. It was built by the Spanish in the late 16th century. ad, and was posted as many others along the coast of Sardinia, in the defensive system to counter the devastating incursions of the pirates from the North coast of Africa. Is located inside the archaeological site of Nora. Is in a nice location from where it dominates the Bay of Nora, and its beautiful sea. You get-just with help-through a pedestrian path not particularly hard to follow that leads from the excavations at the tower.

  • Great place to visit with great views once you get up the fairly steep pathway, well worth taking your time to visit, uneven pathway up the hill and at the top
  • From the top of the tower you can admire the Gulf ... The guided tour provides many insights on the history and function of the towers in Sardinia. Recommend you buy then a guide or to deepen their knowledge on the internet.
