Nora, Pula
(4.4/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
The ancient Roman and pre-Roman archaeological site of Nora is an open-air museum, which includes a theater, tower, baths, forum, and mosaics. Take a guided tour through the ruins to hear in-depth detail about the site. The ruins lie at the edge of the sea--some even sit underwater as Sardinia slowly sinks into the ocean--and the optional climb of the tower offers better views. • Very nice site having seen successive Phoenician, Carthaginian, Roman and Greek. Wonderful views of the coast and mountains. Guided tour in Italian and English. There are many beautiful beaches in Sardinia, that Noto is not really worth the detour.

  • Roman ruins (surprised me the size of houses, very affluent families) very well cared for. You cannot visit them without the presence of official guide, and these are careful and do not allow access to unauthorized locations or by digging (but yes, there are birds nests where people can not go). From the top of the Tower has the vision of the four small coves that made this strategic location, since ancient times to various people, Phoenicians among them, which traded with locals, long before the Romans founded the city that today are the ruins.
