  • Endless suggestions offer the Woods and valleys inaccessible with wild ravines, trails disappeared and narrow winding streets. Attention if not experts of trekking or looking for day trips with lunch in the hut "because, luckily, you won't find anything comfortable! But if you enjoy views of the pristine wilderness and ruins of the past then you couldn't happen to a better place.

  • It is the second review I write, but between one and another in Valgrande I was there not one but at least 10 times. The last hike was Stork-Orfalecchio-Buè-Monte Court Velina-Faiè-Ompio. I don't recommend if not very experienced hikers, reaching Orfalecchio is not simple. With regard to the park but I want to reiterate that it is a place that can only fascinate those who love wildlife, not scarred by human activities. Which means total absence of infrastructure. And thus indirectly I answer who gave negative reviews to this magical place. You can't compare the great Valley to the mountains or to the Val d'Aosta. It is absurd! Means that you came across Val Grande without even see a picture of this park. The photos out there, take a ride on the official site of the Park, or the fantastic site-Valgrande to get an idea of how it is. Also the Park is wild, meaning that even the infrastructure are minimized. And I add: thankfully! However access to Stork, on which I agree that the road is very uncomfortable, it is certainly not the only one. Much prettier the road by going from Miazzina (Cappella Fina) or Malesco (Loana Valley). From Stork don't need walking 4 hours to see enchanted places: just over an hour you can reach the Alpe Prà, a 2 hour Pogallo or take tissue paper, all places that will leave you speechless. You want to eat sitting in shelter without too much walking from where you left your car? Then you can go to Ompio (Fantoli) or Waterloo (Parpinasca). Fancy a walk of a couple of hours which allows you to enjoy breathtaking? Go up to faiè from Ompio, or Lace Partridge from Cappella Fina, or still at Zeda from Archy. In short, the great Valley is wild, no doubt, but also able to satisfy those in the wilderness is not at ease. Just inquire first.

  • Wild, beautiful places, the only thing I did not like: people who go into the mountains "with attitude by the beach". We ate well everywhere we stopped, the roads ... those of mountain. If I wanted to see people in slippers or flip flops with radio blaring was going to the beach. We saw deer, roe deer, foxes, wild boars, eagles, chamois and more.
