  • Beautiful castles in a large park that we at surprised by his attendance, indeed suggested us buying grass several times in less than an hour to walk.

  • Castello del Valentino in Turin the eponymous Castle Park. The majestic castle was once the residence of the Savoy dynasty, and is now one of the buildings of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Faculty of architecture is located in it. The building is under the protection of UNESCO.

  • As stated by others, the Valentino Castle, located right in front of corso Marconi, nothing to do whatsoever with the reconstruction of a medieval castle at the end of the 800 for the fiftieth anniversary of the unification of Italy. This "fake" medieval castle is located about a kilometer further south beyond the Palace of Torino Esposizioni always at the side of the Po River. Returning to the "true" Valentino Castle built by the Madama Reale Christine Marie of towards the middle of the seventeenth century, this is a splendid example of a French Castle which reflects the origins of Madama. With other castles of the Savoy is part of the Savoy residences UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997. She is currently owned by the Politecnico di Torino and the visit is limited to two Saturdays per month by reservation well in advance. Very charming at night when it is all lit up.

  • El castillo es simplemente increíble!
  • Four stars only because the Castle is not usually open to the public. As a student of Politecnico I was able to go on a tour but I would call before and see if you can arrange a visit. Today it is the center of the architectural department at Politecnico. THe castello (actual residence of the Savoy) was the predecessor to the much better visited "Venaria Reale" THere is some pretty incredible stucco work and some of the murals are quite impressive. Sometimes events are held here and artistic works are sometimes displayed on the bottom floor or in some of the upper rooms. Incredible view of the Po.
  • Beautiful!
  • Fantastico
  • Although far more ancient (there was already a castle here by about three hundred years when Emanuele Filiberto bought it), owes its present form to work around 1630 made him as close to the French palaces of the time. The main façade is symmetrical, elegant and impressive thanks to the beauty of its four corner towers. No less interesting is the façade on the river Po, clearly visible strolling from the other Bank in recent centuries has always been academies chairs, so much so that now resides at the Faculty of architecture.
