  • During World War I frontlines here. Italian troops were at the bottom, Austrian troops occupied the top. The Italians had to pave the whole tunnel system.

  • Along AV1 in mid-July, we had spectacular scenery for pretty much all of our 9 days. Lagazuoi definitely ranks towards the higher end of the spectacular scale. Vertical rock walls and jagged summits g...  more »
  • We did all the ring starting from the top of the gondola; well that mean? wonderful steeped in history and a landscape by breaking the breath (even the climb to be addressed in this no joke) Definitely is a strenuous hike but the beauty of the place and the fascinating story it tells repays widely hikers!

  • Killer panorama irrespective of season, can't miss slope in winter and excellent trek in summer. Frozen waterfalls of Sass Dlacia a must in winter. Spending the night there can provide you with an opportunity to witness unforgettable sunset and dawn scenes.
  • Gorgeous views that can be easily obtained on the gondola (funivia) or through a steep hike (which was made more difficult through trail closures). While it is not a long hike, the elevation gain over the short distance is impressive even for fit individuals.
  • This is a great place at any time of year. What a pity Google Streetview lists it as of "WW11 importance". Any visitor will quickly realise the place was a major site in WW1, not the '39-45 conflict.
  • Nice. Taxi service only partially good, if you take the bus, it costs the same, takes much longer
  • The plant is not modern and often crowded but the view from the Summit and the two slopes that descend offer a priceless experience. Great trails downhill even in summer along the tunnels and fortifications of the great war
