  • We are facing a reality that I am convinced, is known by a small percentage of travellers and that as the region Umbria is many times easily forgotten, as if it were part of the country, contains in its catchment three islands (Isola Polvese, major and minor) which are located, two in two municipalities: tuoro and private Mansion and the small this beauty of these landscapes and sunsets make these islands a wealth of ancient manors and of trades now rediscovered and become rare as the old sewing and lace school. don't miss it after visiting the island to visit Lakeside restaurant in a small temple where the owner keeps a lake that the recipes safe chestnut have been handed down by grandparents. visit this set of surprises.

  • Beautiful. Pure nature ... many roads in vineyards where you can walk without meeting anyone .... the water is blue and green shades blue beautiful ... you can have undisturbed a picnic on the beach. I recommend the guided tour, for only 3 euro open Church Castle and water garden, but it's worth it just for those looking for some quiet time. It has nothing to do with the super touristy isola maggiore

  • I went to the island with my partner in late September and can say that it is just spectacular!! The nature is magnificent and sufficiently cured, you live peace and tranquillity and the historical sights are gorgeous ... Sadly it remains very disappointed by bad management: as soon as it arrives, go down to the pier still festooned from a tattered tulle sadly (explosive remnants sure a wedding commercialissimo also arrived here ... salamone!) the only restaurant that is there is in a dilapidated farmhouse that serves food of poor quality like a canteen. shame because Umbria is full of farmers who produce organic excellence and not and maybe get them to eat in a place like the island would be great. The bar does by some miracle coffee but everything seems to be really abandoned. I repeat ... the nature is stunning but management should not be ashamed! (Pity!! 25 years ago was a treasure to see, visit and live)
