No directions found only through Navigator-the Park is very nice and huge but unfortunately is marred by an eco-monsters stretching back several years ago and probably the legal wrangling will prevent can benefit even of the castle that mink should be a wonder

  • Wish we could have gone inside to see this once majestic place, but it was an awesome hike up with the kids and well worth the trip. This was our last big hiking adventure while we were in Italy and it was so worth it. We did get a bit lost coming back but we still managed to find our way back to our car even though we had to walk through a new city we had never been to before. So if you don't like getting lost I suggest you take the same path in and out. We are adventurists though so we like to see what's the other way lol. It is so amazing to think of how old this castle is and the fact that the original builder brought in Redwoods from America to plant along the "drive"way to his magnificent castle. The castle overlooks the city that we ended up in at the end of our hike. Quite an amazing view. If you wonder on down you will find a big abandoned structure that has great potential to be something... If you enjoy hiking and architecture this is an absolute must see while in Tuscany.
  • Had to walk 1 mile to get to it, there was an abandoned car park next to it. Closed for internal access. Quite green outside
  • I used to stay here as a child with my parents many moons ago when it used to be a Hotel. I still remember the nice staff that always played with my brothers and me while my parents went to close by Florence for business. And of course the amazing rooms inside. The Hotel was always empty and we had the place so to speak to ourselves. It is such a shame that the place closed down and is currently just falling apart - due to a 'conflict' between the current owners. I had the luck of arranging a visit, and all these fairytale memories of mine about this place came back to live and proofed to be not just a dreams...
  • A P R I T E L O O O !!!
  • Gorgeous Moorish Castle. For years has been closed to the public, exceptionally open on rare occasions. The Castle and the surrounding park constitute a place of peace and beauty that deserves to be fully restored and enhanced.
