  • The falls can be reached from 2 different paths. What up to the right (at the end of the paved road) is wider and less steep, the one on the left of the illustration Board is more for trekking lovers. You can face the latter on the outward journey and the other to drop (especially if you attend the evening opening of the falls). To watch the show you can put on the ridges more comfortable, we have decided that in addition to the second stream, less exposed and hotter, even for lighting several bonfires. Suggestive experience, beyond the opening of the falls itself. Return exhausting for flood of people pouring on the trail.

  • Something wonderful! Congratulations to the municipality for having involved young people in the territory to manage the parking: 5 euros paid most willingly, in front of so many youngsters that joking animated and flooded with joy the Valley while you were looking for places to park their cars. The first hour to climb unfortunately very monotonous, because it is the forest and the landscape is always the same. Then at some point the Trail opens up and you start to see the waterfall in the distance. We are left at 14 from the parking lot and got there, very quietly, for the 17 atop the refuge he edited: highly recommended, the view of the Lake is something exceptional! At 19 we started down the Hill and stopped in the middle of a meadow located in front of the waterfall: many young people, families, kids running to look for firewood ... something wonderful and the whole thing then surrounded by water noise of the waterfall. The Mayor could save me from all this to banish the tents: it has so much to tell young people that split bottles, get drunk and harass the city, and when there is any young man who wants to spend a night in the middle of nature, become Ordinances with terore fines. LET'S ENJOY THE NATURE! Ask 7 euros for parking and warrant the presence of civil defence for one night a year to ensure security on the ridge of the mountain to those who want to spend a night in contact with nature, and save a lot of paper used for unnecessary signs! You want a mountain alive or dead? Awesome ... can't wait to go back for a new night!

  • See the falls, the highest in Italy, crashing on the rocks, after the opening of the locks, is in itself a sight. But you can see them at night, is something unique and not to be missed. Arrived at Valbondione, around 18.30, we retained the necessary time for an aperitif, before starting the climb. With the setting sun, the path in the Woods, leading to the observation point, is very impressive. Once on, it was not until the 22.00 to see the trickle on the opposite wall become, almost instantaneously, in a huge waterfall (well illuminated by a beam of light projected from below). Final tips: If you want to add to the thousands of people who come here each year (the next night in 2018), advice to leave early, provided of torch (to go down), sweatshirt, long pants and maybe a blanket. In any case do not focus too much on the event, but take advantage of the moment to visit Valbondione, and admire the various views from the trail! Given the falls as the highlight of a summer evening different from usual, out in the middle of the mountains!

  • Maybe my rating is also affected by the fact that they're bergamasco and go see the cascate del Serio is a must. Beyond the opening of the falls (5 each season if I remember correctly), the path that leads to the refuge he edited is a beautiful walk, not at all challenging. In fact apart from the refuge there is also a hostel and another Lodge, to support the large number of tourists rising at the opening of the falls. Once there, in addition to the Lake and the wonderful landscape, there are different walks you can do: Val Died, Gleno, Barbellino, Val Cerviera ... all not to be missed.
