  • A museum that pays homage to all the works of the Tuscan Renaissance and to all the artists who have passed, in that period, from Prato.

  • There I had been, but I have to say it was as if for the first time an emotion stupemda! I recommend it to everyone.

  • It is the largest Museum of the opera del Duomo enclosing Florentine masterpieces that were created for those ecclesiastical structures that dominate for beauty and magnificence the national and international scene: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Battistero, Giotto's Bell Tower. After almost 800 years of history into some thirty rises expertly landscaped with almost 800 works of monumental sculpture. A concentration of masterpieces never before seen in today's world: statues and reliefs in marble, bronze and silver of the greatest medieval and Renaissance artists: Donatello, Verrocchio, Della Robbia, Rates, Pollaiolo, Buonarroti. I'm a fifth-generation, so perhaps as Florentine ones that don't exist any more, and I'm used to seeing the wonders of wonders of Florence, but this time I got a feeling so strong of amazement mixed with happiness that I caused an unexpected lump in my throat and I thought: this "great beauty" also belongs to me.
