  • We saw the reviews for this store and gladly stumbled on it Tastings of all the varieties made choosing more difficult but the almond and pistachio were what the store was noted for  more »
  • Talk of the historic biscottificio Mattei di Prato, a real cookie statement is a bit tricky, because the name is bombastic and often influence the real ideas of those who try it. I purposely being Lawn could return there to purchase "ugly but good" and the legendary cantucci ... result all this notoriety is for me very overvalued, much higher priced products on the market are significantly lower. Here's you're doing paying absurdly name. Sara ' the judgement of a layman, I may be criticized, but tastes are tastes, not worth what is paid. Maybe it's not the real product but a surrogate cheezy marching out of Fame gained in days gone by.

  • In the Centre of Prato, this biscuit is well known. I was disappointed because the famous pratese biscuits or nook is hard to chew, I prefer other nooks softer. The staff was friendly with me.

  • I had the classic biscotti di Prato, small finger-sized biscotti loaded with halved almonds that added a chewy texture and fantastic flavour to these otherwise simple cookies. The reason I often don't like biscotti is because there's too much dough, but this was like 50/50: plenty of nuts paired with fragrant dough. I can't even say which I preferred: the biscotti or the "Brutti buoni": larger cookie balls that were good enough with the crunchy top and chewy, milky white layer of meringue on the bottom... Mmmmm.... I haven't had Italian biscuits I liked until this moment -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
  • Without a doubt here you get Italy's finest Cantuccini!! ...but expect a queue no matter when you visit 😉
  • Visiting Prato you really should pass by this store to pick up a box of their cantuccini, typically Tuscan biscuits which you dip in Vin Santo. It is said that they produce the best!!! (I liked them very much and so will you)
  • The Best
  • The world's most famous and most delicious cookies!!! Amazing atmosphere and especially the smell that surrounds you at the entrance in the former workshop of Prato. Great cookies and even tastier valance. Centenatia tradition that you can see and feel!
