  • the excursion that I am telling I made several years ago but it is definitely one of those that I remember with most pleasure and nostalgia. Parties from rif. Gardeccia, caught up with the van, we faced several km uphill to reach the REF. Vajiolet. After a well deserved break we left for ref. King Albert that we reached with some difficulty because on the maps comes up as "seasoned trail". About 500 metres but you climb a lot and to overcome certain steps you need to use your hands. The spectacle of the Vajolet towers we have repaid all the effort made so far. After a necessary stop for refreshments and for photos, we resumed the climb behind the shelter King Albert that after half an hour took us to the REF. Saltner on top of Catinaccio and there, ate our lunch and we rested a little. In the afternoon we climb to the base of the towers to take more photos and enjoy the show. Later we are back to rif Vajolet where we spent the night (you can imagine the night sky and the mountains in the evening). the next day we continued the trail passing REF. Prince and the REF. Antermoia and slept in a shelter in alta Val Douron. That day we enjoyed unforgettable performances. The third day we stood along the beautiful val Douron visiting another refuge for a stop for lunch. In the afternoon we arrived in Melbourne and with the car parked earlier in the parking lot of the cable car we returned to Sydney. I guarantee you the space of three days on those trails, the mountains at night and all the spectacular peaks that occur around create a truly memorable experience. I will certainly recommend to all those able to do so. The hike I did in the beginning of 90

  • I did a three day in September and I didn't think I'd be able to get there. Lovely place with the three peaks of the V on the head. and peaceful and safe walks. If I were younger I would have gone to the top of the towers always stunning.
