Spiaggia Grande, Positano
(3.1/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Lounge in the sun or go for a swim at Spiaggia Grande. Facing the sea you will get views of the clear water. Facing away from the sea, you can enjoy the scenery of the town of Positano, with its winding cobblestone streets leading to the beach. Tour nearby shops, visit the bars or restaurants, or catch a ferry to a nearby restaurant or beach. Sun loungers are available for rent. If swimming, be careful as you enter the water, the pebbles drop off suddenly into slightly deeper water. A safety barrier keeps boats from entering the swimming area. • Positano is a small enchanted city. Every corner has magic and this same thing happens in the Spiaggia Grande, its most traditional and most easily accessible Beach (since it is a few meters from the "downtown"). It is naturally beautiful... see that it emerges between the cliffs and traditional constructions of Positano. Although the coastline is of Boulder (stones), the colour of its waters ranging from deep blue to Emerald combined with all the scenery of the city, in particular the dome of Santa Maria Assunta, make it worthy of story. Missed getting into its waters. Must sit in it to contemplate the imposing frame of Positano and its natural beauty. Wonderful every corner of Positano

  • We visited the beach in Positano and love even being very different from the beach in Brazil, pity that we do not take a bathing suit and had to get their feet wet. Clean sea, rounded stones.

  • The beach is rocky, but the water is clear and inviting. We took an hour out of touring to swim at the town beach. The beach was crowded as many European beaches are, but few people were in the water....  more »
