  • This museum was the most interesting thing we did in Positano. The staff is very knowledgeable and the quick 40 minute tour with the guide was incredible. It made my wife and I appreciate the history of the area as well as the hard work that the archeologists did uncovering and preserving the old Roman villa.
  • So, if you walk on the Plaza or into the Cathedral you might never realize that there is a Roman Villa below your feet that was buried in the Pyroclastic flow from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. It is absolutely amazing and has to be seen to be appreciated. If you are in Positano do not miss seeing the Villa...
  • The best you can see on the Amalfi coast. Surprised to find a roman villa on this side of the Mountains. Small but very impressive museum, can see 2 walls in 1 room under the church, but what a wall, much more beautiful than what you can see in Pompeii. This is a must see, we will come back in 5-7 years when the other room they excavate will open. Sad to hear there is so much more of the villa under positano they cannot excavate. The guide was vere professionel and was good at explaining and keeping it interesting
  • This archeological site is quite incredible. Our tour guide was full of passion when walking us through the museum. It was beautiful to see the frescos and how well conserved they are. The house is over 2,000 years old! They also have some great items from many years ago. Our tour guide is an archeologist of the site so he had an immense amount of knowledge!
  • What a treasure is this museum! The remnants of the ancient roman villa are incredible. Our guide Bianca was fantastic, knowledgeable and passionate. She made this visit even better.
