Absolute Positano, Positano

We had the best experience with Irene at Absolute Positano! She was very patient and transparent. They shipped it to the U.S. on time and in great condition. A magical addition to our new place!

After a gruelling, overwhelming day trying to navigate Positano in peak, July-heat tourist season (yes, the onus on us for attempting it), my partner and I were incredibly fortunate to run into this brilliant glassware shop. What made it most brilliant, though, is shopkeeper Irene. Rarely have I met a more engaging, outgoing, and warm individual than her. Not only an expert in her craft, she was deeply aware of the changing nature of Positano and it’s surroundings as time and tourism takes its inevitable toll. She gave her thoughts freely, and it was truly an enlightening bit of enjoyable time in the middle of a hectic day. Sometimes, shops and restaurants are not just defined by the quality of their product, but the character of their people. Irene is an exemplary character, whose attitude and compassion makes this place worth coming back to. Having been to Venice many times over the years, I’ve seen astonishing glasswork. But simply to see and give patronage to Irene and the staff at Absolute Positano, I would travel there for the tiniest gem of glass any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

We visited this gorgeous store in July 2020 while on holiday. Irene was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the paintings we were interested in. Finally, we ended up purchasing a painting and another one this week, online. Once again the service was impeccable with very efficient delivery. We fell in love with Positano and now have this lovely scenario hung on our wall to admire every single day.
