  • The municipality of Portogruaro is a Gothic structure, built of bricks, with Ghibelline battlements. Built in two phases: the oldest part, the middle one, dates back to 1265, while the two side wings were added in 1512. On the front are present elegant Venetian-style Windows and a stone staircase with a balcony. In the upper floor there is the main entrance, with the municipal coat of arms. There are three paintings of Portogruaro Luigi Russolo and a painting by the 17th century, depicting the Madonna and child that protects the city. There is a nice "fee schedule" engraved on stone, with the prices charged by boatmen Ayan. Luigi Russolo (1885-1947 Cerro Laveno Portogruaro), he devoted himself to studying music and painting. He attended Boccioni and Carrà and with them he signed, in 1910, the Manifesto of the Futurist painters. • This is also known as palazzo della Ragione and overlooking the city's central square, Piazza dei Signori. Today it houses the City Council but from its year of construction (1185) was the Centre of political life of the city. You can always access to the loggia del 1552 seen acting as stallage for some local, while the salon with frescoes of the 14th-16th centuries can only be accessed during exhibitions that are organised or during city councils are open to the public.
