  • Bourbon Palace of the ' 700, is located between Mount Vesuvius and the sea, beautiful summer residence of the Royal family. An interesting visit, definitely go with a guide, between nature, art, architecture, ben 280 years of history in majestic frescoed rooms, some restored, others being restored, a lot of work still to do. .. Inside you will discover the Royal apartments, the Herculanense Museum, the Chinese room, the botanical gardens, the secret garden, the forest natural park Gussone, the Archaeological Museum of agricultural machinery, a sundial Analemmatico. It is the seat of the Faculty of agriculture, University of Naples Federico II. Tickets cost 5 euros, but what you can see is worth much, much more.

  • A little-known site but it deserves to be. Inside teen guide (the ISS NITTI of POrtici) will guide you to the discovery of the Palace. Many rooms, many exhibits, so much history!

  • Is a large Palace of the Bourbons which unfortunately has known little or nothing themselves in Campania. Abandoned for years to carelessness, the Palace of Portici recently trudged out from degradation due to architectural restorations but the maintenance, especially of green areas, would require more investment. Intended in part to use the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II the site presents different attractions. You can visit for only 5 euro the central body of the building retains many eighteenth-century collections in addition to the various stuccoes and frescoes (nineteenth-century art gallery botanical exhibits; mineral collection; equipment; in science; copies and photographs of Roman finds from the excavations of the vesuvian area). Also is included in the price access to the Museum of agricultural mechanics and a really tiny part of the Botanical Garden. Sooner or later you will have a bit more time for a guided tour to see all the gardens and animals that are in (I don't remember the cost but was not prohibitive) and the multimedia part temporarily unavailable and yet not open to audience. The accessible part of the Botanical Garden by a tremendous sense of abandonment.

  • Lovely place. We were on a field trip last month, and despite a day of heavy rain, the visit was amazing. The Palace is a small-immense masterpiece of architecture and pictorial art. The grounds are nothing short of wonderful. Also there is a tiny Museum of agricultural machinery which can be visited. The staff was patient, kind and helpful, even giving extra historical information, which have captivated the curiosity of the younger ones. Worth visiting.
