  • Parked the car along a path of about half an hour to get to a breathtaking view of the sea from which we proceed to a very dangerous and difficult descent to go. Joints in the Bay you can see that's completely rocky, so it is difficult to place parasols and towels. A word of advice: be organized and minute goggles, masks, fins, sneakers and slippers for rocks, food, stuoglie, water and everything you need. The water is crystal clear, the bottom you can see with the naked eye, there are a lot of fish and of course many rocks on which one must be particularly careful not to slip and injure themselves. I highly recommend coming to this Cove if you're young and willing to make a route heavy enough to but well worth the trip. Definitely a place for enthusiasts.

  • Buca delle fate is a small gulf between Golfo di Baratti and Piombino. Access is not simple: need to drive to the end of the Baratti gulf and then follow the street in the direction of the castle. You...  more »
  • I state that I reached this small Cove, not from the parking lot, placed higher up, from which you go down for about twenty minutes, but from the coastal path which links Barter with Piombino and which is known as trail dei Cavalleggeri, very scenic and considerably longer. When the Mistral blows Baratti, la buca delle Fate no longer protected and you can only swim near the shore, admitted that the waves allow the descent into the sea. Is practically all rocks, crystal clear sea, unfortunately without any shade. I expected more spectacular, being very popular. I was expecting more contrasting colors, even fewer people. I was three hours and I was more than enough. I justify his visit only as part of a trek with a stop sea, for example, the way to make the Panorama Trail (currently a landslide causes a deviation-don't be fooled by the sign indicating the trail stopped: in fact, arrived in the vicinity of the landslide, is shown a deviation), and climb into the car park. Along the latter path there are etruscan tombs and findings, complete with explanatory panels.

  • Amazing place where to see a very beautiful sea.
  • Long trail and the end of it you get see hole of the Fairies
  • Really good viewpoint!
  • At the junction of several paths, a landscape that has no equal in Tuscany. The stain, the Elbe, the bleachers overlooking the sea moving. It is not a beach, and is not equipped for it. Take, for what it is, not for what one would claim it was. Then at least the bathroom try to go there first. bring more water than necessary, be civil and use the bins. The remains of the Etruscan village could do with some polishing, are disappearing between Earth and leaves.

  • Beautiful beach in rocks. Suggestive. Nice walk in the Woods to go to reach the beach. Just minutes from Populonia. Highly recommended
