  • Is the Castle as it would draw a child, or how you would acquire in miniature for your crib! And is immaculately maintained and operated. Entry costs € 5 and you can take advantage of free audio guide, which I highly recommend, as well made and useful to discover every corner of the mansion. Spectacular:-the courtyard, with the impressive staircase and the stone wall full of coats of arms-the banqueting, brightly coloured and the coffered ceiling-the private chapel, with frescoes admirably preserved Deserves alone a trip.

  • Castello di Poppi has a great history. Loved the prisons which you enter where you really feel the history. Could come right from an episode of GOT!
  • Great cafe right next to the castle and good views all around. A glass of wine at the castle is 1.5 euro
  • You should visit it. Very nice place with fantastic views...

  • Is the "Castle" of Casentino. Stands out on top of a hill with its typical Guelph merlons and Tower. Dating back to 1,200 and is perfectly preserved. It was the residence of the counts Guidi, today its interior houses the library Rilliana, rich of medieval manuscripts, and a chapel which houses frescoes attributed to Taddeo Gaddi. The village of Poppi lies within the walls, perfectly preserved, and is considered among the most beautiful in Italy
