  • A beautiful Museum, well maintained and well organized. The many works on display increase the preciousness of the visit. Confront works dating back 5,000 years ago too cannot but increase the emotion. Not to be missed! The only drawback: lack of leaflets and rooms of the Castle are closed. Continue your visit to the churches of pontremoli

  • After a leisurely stroll (although uphill) amidst the picturesque medieval streets of Pontremoli, one reaches the castle which has one of the most unusual collections of archaeology believe ever in Italy and in the world: the menhir statues of the ancient people of Luni. Art always excites me, and these statues, representing men and women of about 5,000 years ago, part of a civilization and undiscovered cults they excited me even more, for their beauty and for all you represent for the evolution of culture. Interesting explanations and videos

  • Beautiful village in the hinterland, but easily accessible by motorway. The country is a historic place in the Castle and waited for the recently renovated Museum of stele statues. Recommend a visit during the period of the Festival Medioevalis really beautiful.

  • The piagnaro Castle was part of the ancient defenses of Pontremoli, the panorama of the Valley suggests how you could control the francigena from its towers, the castle can be visited for the paltry fee of 3 € and it's worth it all.
