  • Formerly Trebula, oscan, Samnite, Roman city then so imposing vestiges of civilization sannita, preserves Treglia dating back to the fourth century. a. c. The walls, of about 2 km, is characterized by numerous gaps, including the impressive Megalithic Doorway. The Romans chose it as their "resting" for the beauty of the land and the healthy climate. Around the 2nd century AD. a. c. developed along the road connecting with the locality now known as Le Campole resort, inside the walls, the Roman town, with public baths, thus the naming Balliensis, equipped with apoditeryon, frigidarium, calidarium.

  • Find historical artifacts as much beautiful as important in a rural settlement as Pontelatone is something fascinating. Too bad it's not valued properly

  • I was there the first time in May this year and then a few times a week when I go walking around there. It is a beautiful reality not much known to the masses because it is not inserted in the archaeological itineraries of Campania. The Trebula Balliensis is one slendito archaeological site sannito dating to the 9th century BC before the Foundation of Rome. It is located in the territory of Tanga fraction of Pontelatone, located in the monti Trebulani and more exactly in the middle part of the Ucka massif. SITE TO VISIT.
