  • My grandfather lies here. I would have liked to get to know him. We were here with my father. It was very moving.
  • Incredibly, almost 28,000 soldiers are buried here ... honor where honor is due.
  • Really beautiful and solemn. Worth a visit.
  • In honor of the brave fallen German soldiers. May they rest in peace 🎗️
  • Beautiful place to visit, especially for history lovers. Admission is free. It is a cemetery managed by a German institution which is also partly financed by donations from visitors. The place is certainly well looked after; At the entrance there is a beautiful bronze plaque depicting the geography of central Italy: we are talking about the moments immediately following the landing of the allied troops in Anzio, during the Second World War. The site where this cemetery was built was the scene of fierce fighting between the Axis troops and the Allies. This flat land was in fact donated by the Italian government to the aforementioned institution, at the beginning of the second post-war period.
