  • The Abbey, whose origin is to attach to the arrival in the area around the 8th century, Benedictine monks lived its heyday in the late 9th century, when the Lombard Queen Ageltrude gave new impetus to the Abbey founded a church headquarters on the site of a pagan temple dedicated to the goddess Bona, hence the name of Rambona. Over time the monastery underwent numerous rearrangements, including reuse of architectural-decorative elements interventions from the Roman era of particular interest is the crypt with five aisles divided by Roman columns topped with Romanesque capitals. The structure has a presbytery with a triple apse and a churchlike, again strongly suggestive crypt for a set of columns of granite and marble streaked from classical Roman times, on which are carved capitals in sandstone, a different one from the other.
