  • Located in the historical centre of Pitigliano, the Fort is well preserved, converted into a museum which is well worth a visit. You need good legs for climbing and descending stairs, especially the internal ones, very cramped. If you're not careful it's easy to get lost, so it is good to follow the signs with the numbering of rooms and visit them in order. It takes at least 1 hour. Your visit to this fortress gives a good idea of how you could live many centuries ago: from the bedroom to the torture chamber. The most interesting, in fact are the torture chamber and the library. The first exposes the classic tools (original and well preserved) of torture of poor souls who had the misfortune of being tortured. There are: the stretching table, water torture, coercion, etc. Nice little library, with nice original portraits on the walls.

  • Recommend to visit this very special Museum in an immense Palace full of undulations that takes your breath away Really particular P.s. say hi to Moses at door

  • The stairs will reign supreme, but the Palace is beautiful for this, because it hides many halls, with the precision 21, all accessible by spiral staircases. Obviously no stroller that you kindly make them park inside the reception hall. To visit

  • The Museum presents over several rooms a nice collection of paintings, objects of the Orsini, the visit definitely worth the price of admission

  • Palace to visit ... over 20 rooms where you will find everything ... even the waterboard. ... Unkind person at checkout perhaps bothered by his surf on Facebook ....

  • Well preserved 14th-century palace full of frescoes that adorn the ceilings and mementoes to families who come through the centuries. Very nice to visit, suitable for families with children. The entrance fee is € 4.50.

  • The Museum is interesting, too bad the sheet "help" that is given at the entrance is wrong in several places, with numbers or descriptions of salt drivers.
