  • The Church is beautiful, Pisan style façade in white and green inlays, naked at the top, but what really shook you, inside, the "pulpit" by Giovanni Pisano, sculpted between the end of the 1200 and the beginning of 1300. is resting on columns in turn place, two on lions, one on a man stooped and with a face so sufferer that seems to scream. The sides of the pulpit are carved scenes from the life of Christ, the most exciting is the massacre of the innocents, where women defend their children and the guards of Herod trying to snatch them out of their hands. seem to hear the shouts and cries, a scene very plastic and very lively.

  • Definitely worth a look! Small but beautiful church. Noteworthy is especially the pulpit-similar to that of Pisa and beautifully carved!
