  • The Bishops ' Palace is the Museum which all museums should be: a place, the building of great interest from the archaeological collections of sacred art route, up to the room of Boldini, all excellently with modern restored the late ' 70 and still in good condition; an entrance with guided tour with knowledgeable (I thank Mrs Iacob for competent and comprehensive guided tour); also the reception staff friendly and polite; a small adjoining library well stocked with books on Pistoia. Have students visit also Bigongiari, collection for the beautiful paintings of the 17th century in Florence.

  • Old building of the 15th century. XI, when the Bishop was forced to get an abode province due to disputes with Emperor Otto III; the Palace has changed in appearance both inside and out, thanks to changes made in later centuries. In 1200 it was the outdoor staircase leaning against the North wall. In 1786 the old building was sold to private individuals. In the following decades was profoundly altered by increasing the plans and building apartments and shops. In 1976 it was bought by the savings bank which began a restoration and recovery structures and original appearance. I recommend a visit, a very interesting place.
