  • You can enjoy a beautiful panorama by climbing atop the steeple! The steps are many, sometimes the passage is narrow, but totally worth it. On a beautiful sunny day, and no mist, you can see even the duomo!

  • Wonderful dome square dominated by its bell tower--one of the most beautiful squares in Italy without a doubt!

  • In a vast and magnificent square stands the Bell Tower of the Cathedral of Pistoia. The climb is allowed at certain times and with entrance fee includes Guide. The Guide, a young lady friendly and courteous, led us-without too much effort-to the last Sun of the Bell Tower. I must say that the frequent stops at various levels, were appreciated and they did hear for anything climbing. Among other things along the narrow stone stairs there is a rope handrail, even more so, facilitates the path. There are about two hundred stairs but uphill don't seem at all so many. Maybe it's the descent one that requires more attention to the presence of steps a bit disjointed and attention that you need, plus where to put your feet, even not to crash head (for the taller than 180 cm). Eventually the effort is rewarded by a wonderful view that if the visit is made in the afternoon, comes up to see Florence around 30 km away.
