  • NI expected something important considering the view from the outside and the important dome that is part of the city skyline. Instead ... cold, the dome by inyerno looks like a concrete artefact. I mean very little to see and very little to tell.

  • Worth a visit, if only to contemplate the image of the Madonna of the miracle of tears. Spectacular Dome, the third highest in Italy, to be observed by another point, of course!

  • Pistoia is a nice town and receives fewer tourists than big brothers such as Lucca and Florence. The city is therefore more authentic and more accessible. The Church is quite dark, but is well worth a visit. The Baptistry is now more used to exhibiting contemporary art. The area and the square are cozy and the small market is a pleasure to from one of the outdoor cafes around it.

  • On our way from Piazza Duomo, trying to find the way back to our car, a duome appeared at the end of a small street - and urged us to find out what it was. (We hardly ever use a tourist guide when we visit places and so we risk to miss something - or be surprised to discover something amazing). And it was astonishing, the Basilica which, somehow hidden behind the houses, opened up. I took some pics from inside, but the photos hardly can show what we experienced here.
  • Spacious interior really gives the empty space and scale for humility. You feel small inside. Which was the whole point. Large paintings adorn the circular design. Worthy of a visit.
