  • Wonderful Museum, unmissable, rich in sculptures, Renaissance paintings on wood and marble, of artists pisani and not only, many of them coming from the ancient churches in the city! Gozzoli, Ghirlandaio, Cimabue, Martini, Donatello and Pisano. A must have especially the artwork of Simone Martini, "polittico di s. Caterina d'alessandria, wonderful!! rich in medieval ceramics, you will find a collection of ceramic basins Egyptian style! There is also a room of wooden sculptures and crucifixes, paintings around 1200!! a few critical remarks: the first ... today was the first Sunday of the month and we were very surprised that there was only one guide to over one hundred people, though. Did the brochure we decide to visit the Museum on your own, and fortunately the captions were well accessible under each work, accompanied also by screens and detailed descriptions of each author and historical period. Strange that the rooms were empty and there were no guardians, while equipped with cameras, works of inestimable value that they would need a larger staff, numerically speaking. A great little Museum, I would call this, undervalued without a shadow of a doubt, not to be missed, one of the most beautiful ever visited by us!! And it says a Leghorn. ...

  • For lovers of medieval art I think it is at the top in the world: CRUCIFIXES, SIMONE MARTINI, the SMALL PAINTING by GENTILE DA FABRIANO ETC are UNIQUE. We were a whole morning but if I could I would go back immediately. I hope I can repeat this experience. Ana Hoffman. Ferrara.

  • Museum with a rich collection of medieval art of Pisa and not only unique pieces. The only flaw, and not just, is to be able to find it open at certain times of the year and hoping also that you do not get sick a keeper or it may close for lack of staff. By the way, the three stars are for the other two missing for mismanagement.

  • For the side National we revert... masterworks of course but the building is not the height of his ambition and could frighten some... However a good experience and a good discovery

  • Pisa is not only the leaning tower, which is actually a Bell Tower. The town's museums provide an unforgettable experience and irreplaceable experience.
