  • I'm not sure who the target market is for this museum, but it clearly isn't me. It has a short explanation of how frescoes are made, and then it had dozens of sinopie sketches showing the first step i...  more »
  • A small museum, seen alone, makes little sense, but that looked after the monuments of piazza dei miracoli, helps us better understand what stands behind the masterpieces just admired. Some kind of behind the scenes, with the interesting sketches of the frescoes in the Camposanto. For entry you must buy a ticket which can be single (5 €), or cumulative with the baptistery or monumental Cemetery (7 €), or for all three monuments (€ 8). My advice is to visit it at least with the cemetery.

  • Should be interesting with a tour, because alone there's nothing interesting, which is not true. I got lost in there, didn't understand what I was witnessing. A shame. They need to think about this.

  • Interesting to view the way the paintings were done. Swing through after you buy your tickets as a part of your Pisa trip.
  • This museum consists of removed paintings that have irreparably faded due to time and elements, that once adorned the walls of the Pisa cathedral. If you are passionate about extremely faded art work you will like it. It is a bit interesting, but the museum offers no variety in its collections, it is just faded Fresco after faded Fresco. Each painting is described in good detail, and a sample of the original is provided, but overall not worth the price of admission.
  • A bit disappointing. Not much content and had to wait in queue for quite a bit.
  • Informative exhibits about the grounds and the exhibits, but not extremely interesting the whole way through.
  • Very small. It's a very quick visit.
