  • The construction of the Museum derives from a need and coming up in the aftermath of the second World War when bombings and fires severely damaged the frescoes of the Camposanto, but emerge the sinopie, preparatory drawings of frescos is in excellent condition. He then decided to detach the sinopie, rehabilitate them and place them in a museum to preserve them better. In addition to the exhibition in the Museum of the sinopie were two multimedia rooms that mimic the appearance of a 3D Graveyard over the centuries, the other projects a video on restoration of the leaning tower. Interesting to watch, though not at the level of what he's around. Recommended the combined ticket that allows you to visit all the monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli

  • I was slightly disappointed by the all too brief journey offered by the Museum, without detracting from the sinopie (busts, drawings). Anyway I recommend it for those who want an all-round vision of the field of miracles.

  • Underwhelming compared to the other buildings and sights If you are visiting go before the Campo Santo as this explains the restoring of frescoes I would suggest this museum is of limited appeal  more »

  • Interesting to view the way the paintings were done. Swing through after you buy your tickets as a part of your Pisa trip.
  • This museum consists of removed paintings that have irreparably faded due to time and elements, that once adorned the walls of the Pisa cathedral. If you are passionate about extremely faded art work you will like it. It is a bit interesting, but the museum offers no variety in its collections, it is just faded Fresco after faded Fresco. Each painting is described in good detail, and a sample of the original is provided, but overall not worth the price of admission.
  • A bit disappointing. Not much content and had to wait in queue for quite a bit.
  • Informative exhibits about the grounds and the exhibits, but not extremely interesting the whole way through.
  • Very small. It's a very quick visit.
