  • the newly remodeled Citadel, neighborhood area is very big and beautiful. If you develop even the surrounding areas it would create a Center in Pisa where they could find space initiatives. However I feel that the place is of considerable interest for initiatives such as dinners, congresses, shows. Sightseeing instead just to see the area that should be given to other parts of Pisa

  • You must to Cosimo I de ' Medici, the idea of building in Pisa an arsenal for the ships of the powerful fleet Tuscany. Already working around 1540, the new Medici shipyard launched in 1546, the first jail built by local craftsmen. The arsenal was divided into eight 60 meters high on average 8 long aisles and about 10. The middle of the 18th century, under the Lorena, locals were converted to accommodate the horses of the regiment of Dragoons. Today in the restored area of the arsenals are furnished some exposures that are part of important archaeological finds. It comes to wrecks of vessels and objects of the ancient Etruscan and Roman port area. To see

  • Beautiful building, very well restored, in the center of a small archaeological area, near the Torre Guelfa. Is a wonderful testimony of former greatness.

  • Small but comfortable, clean and cosy. Dead cheap. Very central, so very easy to reach -for example, 10 minutes on foot from the train station. Friendly staff, interesting programme. You are supposed to be member (a modest 5 euros), but if prove you don't live in Pisa and are lucky, they would make an exeption & sell you just the ticket (7 euro). Great for children too. Highly recommended.
  • Always good films, and lots of old movies
  • Super cinema
  • Historical film Club in downtown (parking free) which can be accessed not only with membership. Many films in their original language sometimes details, projected into an audience with some cute but obsolete. The evening is normally opened the little bar.
