  • I saw her at the end of March, so bare, and I must say it is surprising in its full Majesty. However it is not gigantic, nor has characteristics that make it unique. However, it is sufficient to think that it's been there for more than 300 years to decide to go to see her.

  • Some might say: it's just a plant, maybe big but always a plant. All true: it is a great oak, which developed in width than in height, but is a tree that is born in the 17th century and has "seen" so many things that we humans .... (just to quote a famous line from the movie Blade Runner). Stands majestically in the silence of the countryside, mute witness to the ups and downs. Admire her silently, we look at the huge maze of its branches and bark especially wrinkled (like the skin of elderly men) and wrap them due respect, since it's still a living being ancient, and then also gentle. It's easy to find: starting from the Cassia, take the Provinciale No. 53 (shortly after Bagno Vignoni if you go to Siena) and you will be on your right, in a small clearing, just stick to the road, between km 7 and 8 km.

  • I was here again a few days ago and I must say that every time I see this oak makes me really impression, huge and imposing, with its 400 years old. Spectacular
