  • Pienza Splendid Renaissance town a world heritage site. Worth to visit palazzo piccolomini, the tours are guided with set times. The halls of the Palace with period furnishings, the internal courtyard, loggia overlooking the valle d'Orcia and the gardens are part of the visit. The Palace built by Pope Pius II is part of the monumental complex that includes the Cathedral and the square with an interesting perspective.

  • The renowned palazzo Piccolomini in Pienza, piazza is an important historical monument of the country. The old village of Corsignano, Pienza, as it was called in ancient times was enlarged and embellished with architecture desired by that Member of the noble family Piccolomini who became Pope Pius II. Beautiful residence interesting to visit.

  • If you can't visit Palazzo Piccolomini in Pienza, in the main square next to the Cathedral. It was the residence of Pope Pius II to whom we owe the construction of the urban structure and architecture of the city of Pienza, which is at the heart of the village. It has a beautiful view on the monte Amiata and Val d'Orcia. The visit is accompanied, costs 8 euro including audio guides. Several wonderful rooms, with furniture, paintings and tapestries that belonged to the Piccolomini family. Also a beautiful cloister and a rooftop garden complete the visit.

  • The palazzo overlooking Piazza Pio II, the façade is made of finely carved stone, has a square plan, has three floors. At some points in the facade are visible of coats of arms in stone, gold and silver. A large portal overlooking the square is the main entrance of the building. Inside the building there is a court with a porch supported by stone pillars. The Palace also includes a beautiful garden terrace that offers a unique and unrivalled on the Val d'Orcia.
